Well, here it is!
A
72 page booklet showing the Biab user how to take their favorite midi file and turn it into a style.

Who can benefit from this booklet?

Any intermediate level PC Biab version 9 user who has a midi file they would like to make into a style.
Any intermediate level PC Biab version 7 through 2005 user who can take what I show for version 9 and adapt it to their version.

Who
does not need this booklet.
Any PC user who does not know how to cut and paste in a midi sequencer. ( I can't show you this because there are so many different sequencers.)
Any PC user who doesn't know how to print out a copy of what's on their monitor. (I'll try to show you how to do this.)
Any PC user who does not know a little bit about music and can't tell the difference between, let's say, a walking bass and a straight bass, or drums with hats and drums without hats.
Any Biab user who's confused and can't find a menu item like "New - Make a New Style" because the booklet shows it under the "User" menu (in version 9) but a more recent version has move it to a new location.

    Seriously,
if you don't know your way around your PC,
if you don't know how to operate a midi sequencer,
    or if you are a Biab beginner;
    don't order this booklet.

I do not want you to waste your money in frustration and be angry at me.

In addition, though you can use these techniques in Biab, versions 7 through 2005, this is not a tutorial on how to use the new "midi to style" wizard available in newer versions! Instead, of using a "wizard" you will use your ears and your brain to make better decisions than a software "wizard" might make.

However, with these warnings out of the way, let me now tell you about the booklet.
Within its pages, you will find the following contents to be used with Biab for the PC.
In essense, it is a guided tour, in which you and I will take the midi file, "12mid.mid", apart to create a style called "12mid.sty".
Each page has step by step instructions, including screenshot of Biab, version 9, showing what to do to create the 12mid.sty.
In addition, you will receive all of the files I used to create the 12mid.sty, so you can compare the ones you make to the ones I made.
Below are the contents from the booklet.
